Eastward Pulls Into Switch Central Station as a Timed Console Exclusive on September 16

An overview of a built up city in Eastward

Ahh, the Nintendo Indie World Showcases always round off with a delightful surprise. Today’s event was no exception, with Eastward taking the final bow to end this lovely showcase. We got a big chunk of new information just a few days ago, and now Pixpil and Chucklefish have announced that the gorgeous pixel adventure game, full of planes (maybe?), trains (100%), and automobiles (some?) is coming to the Switch very soon – September 16th – as a timed console exclusive. That’s just over a month away!

We also got another look at the game during the presentation. The trailer is full of dramatic lighting, beautiful pixels, detailed environments, and tons of tense moments to hook you in. This one’s been on our radar for a while, but every time we see more of it, we can’t stop ourselves from getting even more excited. So why don’t you join us by watching what Pixpil and Eastward has to offer?

Pre-orders for Eastward will be available later today on the Nintendo eshop, so keep your eyes peeled as you get ready to hop on the cross-country railway.

The game is also coming to Steam on the same day, as confirmed by publishers Chucklefish straight after the show. So everyone’s a winner, right? It’s been a long wait since the game was announced in 2018, so we’re finally happy to see this one pull into its final stop in just a few weeks time!
