During its annual Granblue Fantasy summer livestream, developer Cygames announced that fan-favorite Vira, the “Maddened Knight,” will join Granblue Fantasy: Versus as a DLC character in December.
Details on pricing, Vira’s fighting style, and just about everything else are unknown, but you can catch a glimpse of Vira’s in-game model in the announcement trailer, below.
Vira will be a formidable addition to the burgeoning roster of fighters in Granblue Fantasy: Versus. Raised in Albion Citadel alongside her childhood idol Katalina, Vira stood out at a young age as a talented blademaster and strategist. Her story took a dark turn once she bested Katalina in a tournament for the title of Lord Commander. Though she emerged victorious and ascended the ranks, Vira became bound to the citadel. Katalina then departed Albion, and Vira’s adoration for her developed into a dangerous obsession that I’m excited to see more of in December.
