Monark Asks You To Follow Your Ego in New ‘Adversaries’ Trailer

NIS America and developer Lancarse have released a new trailer for their upcoming JRPG Monark, focusing on the adversaries that players will face within Shin Mikado Academy, its primary setting. What monstrosities wait within? Check out the trailer below!

Monark centres its story within Shin Mikado Academy where madness-inducing Mist has surrounded its grounds and the students within, cutting them off from the rest of the waking world. Players will take on the role of an unnamed protagonist, who gains the power to wield Daemons through a Pact with the Underworld. Daemons are strengthened by the power of the protagonist’s Ego; a tangible metaphysical force that can be influenced by player choice within the story of Monark. Players will use the power of their Daemons to fight in turn-based strategic battles against the status quo alongside like-minded allies and bring resolution to the problems they face.

Monark will release in the West on February 22nd, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC systems, via Steam. It is currently available now for Japanese players. Stay tuned to RPGFan for all news Monark and RPG!
