miHoYo has announced a release date for Genshin Impact version 2.5: When the Sakura Bloom: February 16th, 2022. The update focuses on the Enkanomiya area and continues the story of the Raiden Shogun. Version 2.5 also heralds the release of Yae Miko, a new five-star character.

The update will include a new seasonal event, “Three Realms Gateway Offering.” In this event, players will take down monsters, open chests, and complete exploration objectives while accumulating corrosive darkness. “Three Realms Gateway Offering” will span the duration of version 2.5, so players will have plenty of time to earn all the rewards the event has to offer, such as a new 4-star catalyst weapon.
