Square Enix have announced via official Forspoken social media accounts that the PlayStation 5 console exclusive has been delayed to October 11th, 2022.

Forspoken is an action RPG based on a new IP in the works at Luminous Productions, originally intended for release on May 24th of this year. Today, a post on social media revealed that the development team is looking to deliver a game that “players will want to experience for years to come.” In order for this goal to be met, the title has been delayed to October 11th. The delay is to add additional polish to Forspoken, which will undoubtedly result in a better product upon release. The team at Luminous Productions go on to thank fans for their understanding and support, whilst promising more information regarding the game soon.

For those looking forward to Forspoken, the delay will obviously come as a bit of a disappointment. However, with so many games releasing at the moment, perhaps this is a blessing in disguise for your backlog!
