Free Haven Update Allows Player to Choose Same Sex Couples

Love who you want to love! The Game Bakers made that possible in the newest update for Haven! In this free Couples Update, players can now choose same sex lovers for the two protagonists.

With this update, you have three choices for your protagonists. You can still play with Yu and Kay as female and male respectively, two women with a new model and voice for female Kay, and two men with a new model and voice for male Yu. The game’s 80,000 lines were revoiced by the new options, and new in-game art was created as well.

While you might wonder how this impacts the story of the game, Emeric Thoa, Creative Director, explains this was an idea from the beginning:

Haven is about the freedom to love whomever you want. From the very early days of conception, we had created several couples for the game, with a diverse range of relationships. But the constraints of our indie team production made us focus on Yu and Kay only. After the game launch, we wanted to go back and work on this update. We hope that many players will feel better represented in the game.
