Publisher Netmarble have announced that Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds will release in Western regions this summer! The title is an MMORPG spin-off set in the Ni no Kuni universe, and is a collaboration between Level-5 and Studio Ghibli. The title released in June of 2021 in Japan, and is available on mobile platforms.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds Key Information
Netmarble have unveiled a website that provides information on the game, giving players an idea of what to expect when the Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds becomes available later this year.
Story
In Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, you enter a brand new world in the virtual reality game, Soul Divers. But as you explore, you realise the world around you is not a virtual one. You meet a mysterious girl named Rania who entrusts you with an important mission: to rebuild the kingdom ransacked by powerful foes, and save the two connected worlds from ruin.
Characters

There are five characters to choose from in the title, each of a different class and possessing a unique set of abilities:
- Engineer – a weapons expert who can wield various firearms such as rifles.
- Destroyer – a tough warrior who strikes enemies with a giant hammer.
- Swordsman – a noble swordsman who can deal rapid attacks with a one-handed sword.
- Witch – a magical perfectionist with a clever flying spear and nimble feet.
- Rogue – a ranged damage dealer who confuses enemies with volleys of arrows and quick movement.
Familiars

Players will be able to share their adventure with loyal creatures they find on there journey. These familiars will aid the player in battle. You will be able to choose from a variety of different creatures such as Sillymander, Penguicorn, Sparkee, and many more!
Locations

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is home to a variety of locations:
- Eastern Heartlands – a mysterious land full of ancient ruins.
- Burning Desert – a vast desert located in the in the Southern Summerlands. The desert houses a golden city which lies beneath a giant airship.
- Witch’s Woods – a mystical forest that is forever shrouded in darkness. The forest is home to a variety of curious creatures you can befriend.
- Winter Wonderland – an area covered in snow and ice, where you will find many creatures including yetis.
