RPGFan Seeks Podcast Audio Editors

While this application period has technically closed, we still welcome anyone interested in being part of our team to visit our Work With Us page!

If you’re a regular listener of Retro Encounter, you are aware that following episode 330, the show has been on a temporary hiatus, to give showrunner Michael Sollosi a much-needed reprieve in editing duties. For years, we had multiple dedicated audio editors at RPGFan until late 2021, when both of our dedicated editors had to leave the site to pursue other things in life. As you can imagine, editing two podcasts every week is a big ask of our current podcast showrunners in addition to their other duties, so we need some new editors to better distribute our workload.

If you are skilled in audio editing and want to be part of the RPGFan team, we want to hear from you! Knowledge of audio editing software is a given, and it’s ideal if you have at least some familiarity with our trio of podcasts, which will also give you a sense of what we’re looking for in finished audio files.

As you may know by now, RPGFan is run by volunteers, so while we are currently unable to provide monetary compensation, we offer a place to earn experience and hone your skills with a diverse and welcoming community of RPG fans. Many former RPGFan team members now have successful careers in the game industry after getting their start here. If this sounds like your jam, hit that big green button below and apply today! We are accepting applications through this post until May 15th.
