Developer Kitfox Games is bringing a free and rather sizeable update to their game Boyfriend Dungeon this Summer. In the aptly titled Secret Weapons DLC, three new characters will be added to the game’s roster: Jonah the Axe (a familiar face players might remember from their first foray into Boyfriend Dungeon), Leah the Hammer, and the more nefarious Doctor Holmes the Whip.
Despite being a free update, the new content promises to be content-rich, providing players access to not only new dateable weapons and their respective plot lines, but a new dunj to explore too. Fans of the game’s soundtrack—such as myself—will be happy to note that there even appears to be some new music to coincide with the DLC!

I enjoyed my time playing Boyfriend Dungeon when it first released, and am quite happy to have an excuse to dive into the game once more! The Secret Weapons DLC update will release in late Summer 2022. Boyfriend Dungeon is currently available on PC (via Steam, EGS, and itch), Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
