Folks, you better cling to something because Tactics Ogre: Reborn just got listed on PlayStation Network. Thanks to Twitter user Wario64 for the heads up. [Editor’s Note: And thank you to Stephen Meyerink for the heads up of the heads up.]
We can only speculate as to what exactly Tactics Ogre: Reborn is with info being so scarce, but here are a few educated guesses:
- It’s a remake/remaster/port of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, itself a PSP remake of the SNES original. The Nvidia leak supports this being a remaster rather than a remake or straight port (akin to the PSP offerings on Sony’s PS+ revamp).
- It’s an entirely new game, though “Reborn” kind of casts doubt on that.
- “DUALSHOCK 4 Vibration” tells me that it won’t be a PS5 exclusive—us PS4 owners can rest easy.
- I can’t say I recognize the characters in the art, but fans might be able to tell if they’re from the original game.
Right now, you can still pick up Let Us Cling Together if you have a Vita. Don’t count on that being the case for much longer though.
