Genshin Impact Version 2.8 Set to Release July 13th

HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact version 2.8, titled “Summer Fantasia”, will release on July 13th. Players should expect brand-new areas, fresh stories, puzzles and treasures—even new island recreations. Other changes coming with Version 2.8 include the return of old characters, such as Kaedahara Kazuha, and new outfits for characters Diluc and Fischl.

Everything Included in Genshin Impact Version 2.8

Genshin‘s newest update looks to bring with it a vast array of new content for players to enjoy. The title’s developer, miHoYo, has outlined everything the update has to offer:

• Summertime Odyssey – Version 2.8 will bring with it a new seasonal event, “Summertime Odyssey.”, which will allow players to explore the world alongside characters such as Fischl, Xinyan, Kadahara Kazuhaand, and Mona. The event will completely transform the Golden Apple Archipelago, bringing with it “new realms, extensive exploration gameplay, more treasure chests, and unexpected storylines”. Players will also have the chance to recruit Fischl, a four-star Electro character.
• New Island Recreations and events – Throughout the “Resonating Visions” event, players will be able to collect special conches that carry tales and messages. These conches will enable players to unlock Fischl’s new outfit. Genshin Impact Version 2.8 will also bring with it the new “Reminiscent Regimen” co-op event that will allow players to complete a variety of challenges out on the high seas. Back on land, characters such as Diluc and Kaedehara Kazuha will also receive their own new events and stories.
• New Outfit – Diluc will receive a new outfit obtainable through Genshin‘s in-game store. The outfit includes a variety of features, such as a new idle animation for the character and a backstory that can be discovered through the “Hidden Strife” challenge event.
• New Character Story Quest – The first chapter of Kaedehara Kazuha’s story quest will be released in version 2.8 of Genshin Impact. The quest follows Kazuha and his friend Shikanoin Heizou, a young genius crime solver for the Tenryou Commission. New character Shikanoin Heizou is the first melee catalyst user to feature in the title, and can deal Ameno damage with powerful strikes and kicks.
