NOVECT Put Out a ‘Detective Part’ Trailer for Project Code Name M

Project Code Name M trailer

NOVECT (formerly Novectacle) has released a second trailer for their entirely new title called Project Code Name M, still under development for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam). This second trailer focuses on the gameplay from the detective’s perspective and features groovy music from Callasoiled.

If you haven’t heard, NOVECT also developed The House in Fata Morgana, which received great feedback and was also reviewed here at RPGFan. Project Code Name M is their latest project—a mystery adventure visual novel about a series of murders in downtown Tokyo in modern Japan. The game will have two parts to play: the detective and the murderer planning the perfect crime scene.

However, NOVECT has not revealed a release date yet. The company stated they’re targeting a 2023 release. Here’s what they said in their official blog page:

This work is bigger in scale than the previous one, The House in Fata Morgana, and it is no exaggeration to say that my life and the fate of NOVECT are at stake. I promise to deliver the best. We have not yet set a release date (since we do not have a publisher yet), but the development itself is progressing well, and my personal goal is in 2023. However, since we are inevitably a small development team, please let us not commit to a date at this time. However, this does not mean that it will take 4-5 years from now, and we will update you on the status as needed.

And here’s the announcement trailer for good measure:
