Atelier 25th Anniversary Video Hints at New Entry

Atelier 25th Anniversary screenshot from the trailer

Koei Tecmo just released a commemorative video for the Atelier 25th anniversary, including every game in the franchise from 1997’s Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg to the latest title, Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream. If you notice near the end of the video, there’s an unfilled frame that seems to hint at a new game coming in the series. Earlier, Koei Tecmo revealed in their Tokyo Game Show lineup that series developer Gust is announcing a new title on September 16th.

At this time, there have already been a total of 23 main games in the Atelier franchise and several side games. If you haven’t played any of them and this piques your interest, you may look into our review of Atelier Sophie 2 written by Des Miller. Keep checking back RPGFan as we continue to cover updates on the Atelier 25th anniversary and anything leading up to Gust’s announcement at TGS!
