XSEED and Marvelous have brought a beloved classic from the original Harvest Moon series into the present. Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life was revealed at the latest Nintendo Direct. The game will release in the summer of 2023 on Nintendo Switch.

Here’s the wonderful announcement trailer that aired during the Nintendo Direct:

Bring life to the land, find love among the town’s friendly folk, and make lasting memories with a family of your very own in this reimagining of a beloved farm sim.

Key Features

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is a remake of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, which first came out on the Nintendo GameCube in 2003. I first played the game with its 2004 port to the PlayStation 2; I got the Special Edition.

This was one of the most memorable Harvest Moon titles for me; I surely remember “Forget-Me-Not” Valley. The marriage system is the main focus compared to the other titles. I stayed a bachelorette during my first playthrough and was shocked to see it end after I spent the first year just focusing on taking care of my animals. I later replayed it to find a partner and discovered that the game had more to offer—it even goes up to into six chapters. Hopefully, I’ll make better decisions in the upcoming Switch port if I manage to get my hands on it.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, the Switch remake of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, will debut in the summer of 2023. For more info on this farm life simulation, visit the official website. Stay tuned to RPGFan for more coverage of more classics getting an overhaul.
