Fallout 4 Is Getting a Next-Gen Upgrade in 2023

Bethesda Softworks have announced that their post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout 4 will release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2023. Players who own the game on PS4 and Xbox One can access the upcoming current-gen editions as a free upgrade with PC editions receiving a “next-gen update”.

Players can expect new features for the upgrade, including a performance mode to maximise frame rates and a quality option for 4K resolution. Bethesda Game Studios also confirmed that the update would bring new Creation Club content though no specifics have been given at the time of writing.

The announcement came by way of larger celebrations for the Fallout series’ 25th anniversary, showcasing the history of the franchise across its many iterations. If you’re curious, feel free to check it out via the anniversary’s official website.
