In a surprise announcement at The Game Awards, Dead Cells will cross over with Castlevania in new DLC for the action rogue-like titled Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania. The new content centers around exploring Dracula’s castle to reach the vampire’s throne room at the top. Players will have two new levels to play and will be aided by Richter Belmont and Alucard, who guide players through the castle and provide Castlevania weapons like throwing axes and holy water.

In addition to a pair of levels, a new soundtrack completes the Castlevania aesthetic. The DLC will add an alternative soundtrack consisting of 51 classic songs from the series, and it isn’t just limited to the new areas—you can listen to them throughout the entire game. For players that prefer the Dead Cells music style, 12 Castlevania songs, including “Bloody Tears,” “Vampire Killer,” and “Divine Bloodlines,” have been reimagined for the new levels.

Dead Cells fans should expect the DLC to release in Q1 2023. You can check out the trailer for Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania below. In the meantime, you can wishlist it on Steam. The base game is also on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
