Publisher Aksys Games will be releasing the strategy RPG Record of Agarest War on the Nintendo Switch. Originally localized in 2010 for various consoles, this 15th-anniversary version is updated to include all of the game’s DLC, upscaled 2D art, and HD movies. It’ll also feature music never before heard in the West in the opening movie.

Record of Agarest War boasts over a hundred hours of tactical gameplay and an inventive Soul Breed system that has you pairing your male hero with a potential female companion, ensuring that heroic traits are passed down to the next generation to continue the tale.

Record of Agarest War limited edition info

You can pre-order either a standard edition or a special limited edition of this Switch port. The latter includes an eighty-page art book, a bromide card set that features certain ladies from the cast of characters, an acrylic diorama, and the original soundtrack.

You can read a review of the PlayStation 3 version by RPGFan’s very own Patrick Gann, though it does seem like this updated version will have some notable improvements to its name. Record of Agarest War will release on the Switch sometime in March 2023.
