On Friday, February 10th, Yoko Taro and SEGA will reveal the new project that they are developing, potentially titled 404 GAME RE:SET (ERROR GAME RESET). The game will be available on both iOS and Android devices. The words “Create a brighter future,” “Destroy SEGA,” and “2023.2.10 The World Will Change” can be seen in the footage below.

404 GAME RE:SET‘s specifics and Yoko Taro’s involvement weren’t disclosed yet, but, thanks to Gematsu, the unannounced details uploaded were caught right before they were removed from SEGA’s official YouTube channel. The information also leaked that there will be a pre-registration campaign through the App Store, Google Play Store, and the official website. Interested players who sign up for it will each receive 10 gems as an in-game welcome reward.

Yoko Taro, the well-known creative game director and writer behind games like NieR: Automata, Drakengard, SINoALICE, and Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden, comes back to the scene with another mobile game. Personally, I’m a big fan of all his work and his backward scriptwriting technique. I’m also eagerly awaiting any new title announcement coming from him. I won’t deny that I’m a little underwhelmed that this will be released on mobile, but I’ll still keep an eye out for it.

This coming February 10th at 8:00 PM JST/6:00 AM ET, stream the link below to gain access to the formal showcase of the game:
