Download the Demo for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on February 24th

We’re less than a month away from the launch of Team Ninja’s next big thing, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The action-packed RPG comes from the same fine folks who have brought us the Nioh games and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, but whereas the former duology took fans to the end of Japan’s Edo period and the latter’s all about the fabled Warriors of Light, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty‘s spiffy pitch is dark-fantasy Three Kingdoms China.

That means those of us with the very specific dream job of battling a vaguely Souls-like rendition of the famously powerful Lu Bu are in for a treat. But even if that one’s not on your bucket list, I reckon the game might still be a good time.

Koei Tecmo’s giving us all a chance to judge a slice of Wo Long for ourselves prior to its release — a free demo’s going up on every available platform come February 24th. That means PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.

What’s more, there’s officially a reason to check out the demo even if your mind’s already made up on purchasing Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Players who have finished the demo will gain access to a special piece of gear: the “Crouching Dragon Helmet”. That’s probably the chosen headpiece of the tactical genius Zhuge Liang, per the Shu-era strategist’s classic nickname. Neat.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms on March 3rd.
