DecaPolice is Level-5’s New Crime Suspense RPG

During the February 2023 Nintendo Direct, Level-5 made a grand return, surprising everyone with a completely new RPG titled DecaPolice. The official JP website states that the game will release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in 2023.

DecaPolice appears to be a sci-fi RPG mixed with mystery-solving elements in a dual-world (real and virtual) setting. Not much detail was released, but the teaser video shows that it’s a turn-based RPG featuring Harvard, the main protagonist or rookie detective, chasing criminals in an open-world environment.

The main character, a rookie detective named Harvard, hunts down criminals in a huge open-world crime-ridden city, travelling back and forth between physical and virtual reality.

The recent Nintendo Direct revelations seem to suggest that Level-5 will be releasing more games for global audiences. The studio also announced the comeback of familiar IPs such as Professor Layton and The New World of Steam and Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

Although a specific release date has not yet been revealed, DecaPolice will be released sometime on Switch, PS5, and PS4 in 2023. Stay tuned to RPGFan for more details and release dates of these newly revealed games from Level-5.
