LEVEL-5 and LEVEL-5 Comcept have revealed Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, an upcoming chibi-styled RPG slated for worldwide release on Nintendo Switch in 2023. The game was announced during the latest Nintendo Direct. Check out its most chill teaser trailer below!

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time acts as the next entry within the Fantasy Life franchise, where players will take on the role of an unnamed protagonist who starts out exploring an island long past its prime. Players will encounter a young girl who sends the protagonist back a thousand years in time, where they will see the island in its heyday of civilization. Upon this turning point, players will be able to travel between timelines, gaining “Lives”, or classes that will enable them to help rebuild the island and restore it to what it once was. A further list of features, provided by LEVEL-5, lies below.

A new chapter of Fantasy Life that transcends time!

Begin a fantastic life on a ruined island, and embark on a great adventure into the past! Gather friends, craft, and build your own city!
・A completely new entry in the Fantasy Life series!
・Build your own city and go on adventures on a new island!
・Explore the island with whatever Life (occupation) suits you!
・Travel between the past and present to unravel the mysteries of this ruined island!
・Popular characters from the series make a return!

Personally, it seems the number of social RPG simulators has increased steadily over the years, so perhaps the popularity of the genre (and its art style) means that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time will find an audience upon its release later this year. As it stands, not much else is known about Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, but we at RPGFan will be sure to let you know when new information becomes available!
