Riot Forge has revealed the existence of The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, an upcoming action RPG slated developed by indie studio Digital Sun, responsible for the beloved indie RPG Moonlighter. Check out its announcement trailer below!

The Mageseeker is a 2D pixel-art action RPG set within the kingdom of Demacia, a nation that seeks to control what it considers uncontrollable magic by utilizing magic itself to maintain strict, holistic order. Players will inhabit the role of Sylas, an escaped mage who seeks vengeance to upend the status quo within Demacia itself, shattering its fragile peace built with the blood, pain, and sweat of misused mages.

Riot Forge previously published Ruined King: A League of Legends Story in 2021. A turn-based JRPG homage, the title was developed by Airship Syndicate, the studio responsible for Battle Chasers: Nightwar. If you’re curious about what we think of Ruined King, check out our review by Bob Richardson.

The Mageseeker is set to release in Spring 2023 on both PC and consoles though no platforms were specified on its official website. Stay tuned to RPGFan for all news RPG!
