Does your love for Final Fantasy XIV know no bounds? If your answer is yes, you may already be aware of a certain wild-sounding noncanon tie-in manga. Announced in late 2021, the previously Japan-only Shiritsu Eorzea Gakuen (Private Eorzea Academy) will make its way across the globe later this year with the somewhat snappier title of Final Fantasy XIV: Eorzea Academy.
Pre-orders are open for the 192-page Eorzea Academy at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Penguin Random House, and other booksellers. Find links to all of these on the book’s Square Enix Manga & Books page.
Follow Alisaie’s adventures as a high school student at Eorzea Academy as she navigates the merging of two former rival schools, the Academy of Light and the Academy of Darkness. Join all your favorite FINAL FANTASY XIV characters in this modern-day rollicking high school comedy.

Alisaie is a high school student attending Eorzea Academy, an exclusive institution created by the merger of former rival schools the Academy of Light and the Academy of Darkness. Though all the students now wear the same uniform, a bitter divide remains between the Class of Light and the Class of Darkness. Worried about the ongoing conflict, headmistress Tataru decides it’s time for some bold solutions to raise morale. Let the school games begin!
But that’s not all! Square Enix has also announced English translations for The Ice Guy and the Cool Girl and Mr. Villain’s Day Off. But since neither of those have a connection to RPGs, we invite you to read about those via the links in the previous sentence.
Final Fantasy XIV: Eorzea Academy has a release date of September 19th, 2023 and will retail for $14.99 USD.
