Developer Altair Works and publisher Flyhigh Works have announced that strategy RPG Great Ambition of the Slimes, the sequel to Ambition of the Slimes, is coming this July on PC via Steam. As of this time, no exact date of release has been mentioned.
The Great Ambition of the Slimes is a unique strategic simulation game wherein you command 20 different types of slimes to take over people, battle enemies, and win wars. This concept is pretty unusual, which makes it interesting! Most of the time, slimes are the weakest and most common enemies in RPG random encounters. Here, the player uses them in a variety of strategies to triumph and become the world slime leader. Read the overview below from Steam for more context about this title.
Overview of Great Ambition of the Slimes
“Make slimes take over humans to fight your battles!”
Here’s another tactical simulation game you never knew you needed.
You have slimes under your command.
Yup, the weakest of all monsters, slimes.
No, they aren’t any stronger in this game.
But what if they have the ability to occupy human bodies?
Take control of strong knights and warlocks to fight your human enemies!
There are also demons to take care of, so things can get complicated.
Demons can’t be taken over, but if you use the humans around you…
You’ll find several kinds of slimes, humans and demons in this game.
There are over 20 types of slimes to command, each with their own unique abilities. Teleportation, multiplication, there’s even a slime that can melt equipment off your enemies!
Which body will you occupy? How will you fight?
The possibilities are endless.
Humans will try to save their friends whenever a slime tries to occupy them. That could be used as a part of your strategy too.
Using items to transform your slimes into different types will help you in the more challenging battles later in the game.
Lend your wisdom to the slimes and help them take over the world!
In July of this year, Great Ambition of the Slimes will be available on PC via Steam. The developer hasn’t said yet whether it will be made available on the Switch platform, just like its predecessor. Stay tuned here at RPGFan for all things RPG!
