The original Oxenfree is a beautiful and serene adventure game released in 2016. Now, after a few delays, Night School Studio’s Oxenfree II: Lost Signals finally launches on July 12th!

Check out the new trailer that premiered during last week’s Nintendo Indie Showcase:

The sequel follows a new cast of characters and story, making it perfect for newcomers. Upon release, many gamers will be able to enjoy the game with a localized interface and subtitles in a variety of languages, including Arabic, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese.

Sean Krankel, co-founder and studio director at Nigh School Studios, had this to say about the game’s journey:

“With OXENFREE II: Lost Signals, we wanted to tap into the essence and world that made the original game so special, while immersing players in a brand new story with even higher stakes. This game has been a labor of love, and we can’t wait for players to embody Riley, shaping her through life altering choices and overcoming supernatural challenges that threaten to destroy her future.”

About Oxenfree II: Lost Signals

OXENFREE II: Lost Signals follows the story of Riley Poverly, an environmental researcher who returns to her hometown Camena to investigate unnaturally occurring radio frequency signals causing disturbances in electronic equipment. She soon discovers a long history of ghostly happenings on the nearby Edwards Island and becomes entangled in a frightening, supernatural mystery. Featuring Night School’s signature, naturalistic dialogue system, OXENFREE II: Lost Signals takes players on a new journey where they’ll shape their experience in unexpected ways.

Oxenfree II: Lost Signals will launch for PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC and Mac via Steam. Both games are now available to pre-order digitally on the PlayStation Store and the Nintendo eShop. Stay tuned to RPGFan as we grow closer to the highly anticipated sequel’s release!
