Atelier Ryza Anime Premieres July 1st in Japan

Developer Gust and Aniplex have revealed July 1st as the Japanese debut date of the anime adaptation of the first game in Atelier‘s Secret trilogy, Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. A new trailer was shown alongside this special announcement in an hour-long live broadcast. Watch the latest promotional video below:

As of this writing, it’s still unknown how many episodes will be in the first season or how many seasons are planned. The official website updated its information and uploaded a new key visual on the homepage featuring the four main characters of the first game: Ryza, Klaudia, Tao, and Lent.

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout launched in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. RPGFan’s PS4 review by Audra Bowling finds the first installment of the Secret series to be a surprising and enjoyable RPG. It wasn’t long ago either that the third entry, Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End and the Secret Key, came out; Gust released it on March 24th of this year.
