Two New Games Planned for Story of Seasons

Story of Seasons Multiplayer Concept Art

It isn’t a Marvelous Game Showcase if there isn’t any presence from the Story of Seasons franchise. The company announced that it is currently developing two new games: the first one is described as a traditional farming simulator while the second one will feature multiplayer support.

Watch the summary of the series alongside the announcement in the video below:

What’s Next in Story of Seasons?

With a central theme of “Experiences”, Series Manager Hikaru Nakano revealed the first footage of the next title in the original farm/life simulation series, highlighting a fresh look after 27 years of farming and friendship. Nakano-san also shared exciting news and the first concept images for a separate, future entry in development, which is planned to bring Story of Seasons fans together with an ambitious new title where you can play with everyone!

As a huge fan of the classic Harvest Moon games, I’m delighted to see that the developers are not only staying faithful to their usual formula but also finally going beyond it by adding multiplayer elements. I used to think it was a missed opportunity after experiencing fresh and fun online co-op in Stardew Valley.

Two titles of Story of Seasons are currently in development. In the meantime, I’m just patiently waiting on Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, which launches next month on June 27th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
