Developer HoYoverse is bringing a free, content-heavy update to Honkai: Star Rail on June 7th! Version 1.1, titled “Galactic Roaming,” will include new playable characters, companion missions, gameplay features, and time-limited events. Check out its brand-new trailer below!

Version 1.1’s three new playable characters — Silver Wolf, Luocha, and Yukong — appeared in earlier chapters of Honkai: Star Rail‘s intergalactic story and can now be officially recruited to the live roster. Players should certainly remember Silver Wolf since she’s playable during the tutorial, right before Trailblazer is unlocked and positioned as the main character.

The new update will also let players participate in six events, some of which are featured in the trailer. For example, in the “Starhunt Game” event, the Trailblazers help Herta Space Station’s network security engineer understand the meaning of electronic graffiti hidden within the station. Meanwhile, in Belobog, the “Everwinter City Museum Ledger of Curiosities” event tasks the Trailblazer with recovering a stolen exhibit, identifying the culprit, and running the museum as it prepares to reopen.

Update 1.1 will also include trials, three companion missions, and new gameplay features, like friend chat and automatic enemy pinpointing. Honkai: Star Rail is a free-to-play sci-fi RPG from the creators of Genshin Impact, and it’s available now for iOS, Android, and PC via the Epic Games Store. The game follows a six-week schedule for significant updates, so players should expect even more free content later this summer!
