Atlus Leaks Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Tactica on Instagram

Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica Trailers

The Xbox Games Showcase 2023 isn’t here yet, but Atlus accidentally posted the trailers for two Persona games that are hitting our shelves sooner than we think.

Persona 3 Reload, a ground-up remake of Persona 3, releases in early 2024 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Persona 5 Tactica, a strategy-RPG spinoff of Persona 5, launches on the same platforms and will release this year on November 17th.

Even more good news: both titles will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Based on the trailer, Persona 3 Reload looks to be visually on par with P5. The trailer only showed off the male protagonist with no hint of the female protagonist. As far as what we can expect content-wise, things are vague right now. This is only the first trailer, though, so I’m keeping my hopes up for FES content to be included.

Meanwhile, Tactica looks to be the first SRPG in the Persona series, featuring gameplay reminiscent of the Fire Emblem and XCOM games and the return of the chibi art style from Persona Q2. We also see an unnamed purple-haired character fighting alongside the Phantom Thieves.

At this point, I’m not so sure if these weren’t deliberately leaked before a possible formal reveal during the Xbox Showcase or if this was just another silly mistake on Atlus’ part. [Editor’s Note: Both scenarios seem plausible!]

Also, Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica could be announced for other platforms in the days following the Xbox event.

Expect more details to come soon, so stay tuned here at RPGFan for the official announcement of these latest titles from Atlus.
