Grinding Gear Games released a new trailer for Path of Exile 2 as part of Summer Games Fest! The trailer, dubbed the “Ngamakanui” teaser, concludes by promising we’ll get more information about this upcoming free-to-play action RPG on July 28th as part of this year’s ExileCon Livestream.

This new footage does a great job of showcasing the graphical overhaul and dodge-roll mechanics coming with Path of Exile 2. The game looks to be shaping up nicely and should present some pretty stiff competition for Blizard’s Diablo 4 when it releases. My fingers are crossed that we get a release date next month!

Path of Exile 2 isn’t going to follow the path of most sequels. It won’t replace the original game, which will remain playable on the same client as its sequel. It will introduce a new story campaign and an overhaul of Path of Exile‘s graphical and gameplay engines. When making new characters, players can decide whether they want to play through Path of Exile 2‘s campaign or its predecessor’s.
