Lake: Season’s Greetings DLC Coming in Time for the Holidays

Gamious has an early Christmas present for fans of Lake, 2021’s cozy deliver-’em-up: Lake: Season’s Greetings! This holiday-themed DLC sees the player delivering even more packages in the picturesque town of Providence Oaks. It’s (of course) coming this holiday season, for PC via Steam and “several other platforms.”

Lake: Season’s Greetings is a prequel that takes place about a year before the base game. It offers the same relaxing gameplay as Lake and introduces five new characters to Providence Oaks, each with their own slice-of-life storyline. This time around, you play as Thomas, Meredith’s father, and Gamious promises that this DLC will answer some of the questions that Lake raised but didn’t resolve.

RPGFan’s Caitlin Argyros reviewed Lake when it was released in 2021. She enjoyed its cute, laid-back concept, pleasant atmosphere, nostalgic ‘80s references, and voice acting. However, she found Lake‘s gameplay a tad repetitive and was disappointed that player choices don’t impact the story meaningfully. Hopefully, Lake: Season’s Greetings addresses these shortcomings when it releases later this year!
