Publisher Playstack and developer Kumi Souls Games announced that their gothic Metroidvania The Last Faith will launch this October for PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and Xbox One & Series X|S! In the meantime, they released this new trailer for the retro-inspired title:

It’s hard not to be overwhelmed by Castlevania vibes in this new trailer, but The Last Faith promises elements of Bloodborne as well: “merciless and precise combat, with a huge range of custom executions.” Players can develop their character and preferred playstyle using an arsenal of melee weapons, spells, and long-range firearms. Exploration will be non-linear, just like in the game’s apparent inspirations.

If you’re interested in playing The Last Faith before it launches this fall, you can try to get a spot in its limited beta test this summer. The Last Faith centers on Eryk, a man who awakens with no memory of his past. His conscience and mind are beginning to deteriorate, putting him in a race against time to cure himself. The player’s journey to save Eric from his affliction will take them on “a cursed mission that crosses paths with ancient religions and divinities.”
