Super Mario RPG Remake Adds Post-Game Boss Rematches and More

Geno returns in the Super Mario RPG remake.

The Super Mario franchise has dipped its toes in RPGs on multiple occasions over the decades, but none were quite as iconic as Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. With the remake on the way, Nintendo recently showed off more footage and features at the recent Nintendo Direct. Old and new fans alike have plenty to look forward to in this new version of the game!

Check out the new footage below:

The remake brings old and new features to the table. Timing attacks just right with Action Commands leads to not only stronger attacks but also strikes that hurt all of the enemies at once. Pulling off successful Action Commands builds a gauge that, once full, allows you to initiate a Triple Move attack that changes depending on your party members. Lastly, if you are itching to get a rematch with a specific boss, you will be able to challenge them to an even tougher fight in post-game rematches.

Super Mario RPG launches for the Nintendo Switch on November 17th. Stay tuned to RPGFan as we learn even more about this RPG fan favorite!
