Developer and publisher Square Enix commemorated the 34th anniversary of the SaGa franchise with SaGa Glimmerfest 2023, a special one-hour livestream that unveiled the release date and more information on SaGa Emerald Beyond. The newest entry will debut on April 25th, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android.

SaGa Glimmerfest 2023 Livestream
Tsunanori comes from the esteemed Mido family, whose bloodline uses their unique ability to control kugutsu puppets to complete all manner of odd jobs. He joins the Cathedral Project, made up of a group of explorers who investigate other worlds, with the goal of repairing his city’s weakening barrier and to help reclaim lost spiritual energy.
Known by her pseudo-identity Yumeha Izumi, the Miyako City schoolgirl, Ameya is actually a witch from Pulchra whose powers were stolen from her. Ameya hopes that by following the mysterious emerald waves, she’ll discover who stole her mana and become the best witch anyone has ever seen.
SaGa Emerald Beyond Pre-orders
In Japan, though, pre-orders of the exclusive Collector’s Edition are now open in the Square Enix e-Store, which contains a physical copy of the game, an art book, a three-CD soundtrack with a special box, a tote bag, and two Bright Arts figures of Diva No. 5 and Teacher.
