Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Shift Up have announced a delay to their upcoming sci-fi action RPG Stellar Blade, moving it from its previously reported 2023 launch window to sometime in 2024. The announcement came via a PlayStation Blog post highlighting some of Sony’s key upcoming games launching this year. No further details have been released.
Originally announced as Project Eve in 2019, the title was previously in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PC until September 2022’s State of Play, where it was revealed that Stellar Blade would be a PS5 exclusive. Shift Up has also been officially confirmed to be a second-party partner for Sony via its partnering program.

Stellar Blade is set in a future Earth where humanity has been under unrelenting assault by alien forces known as NA:tives. As a result of this war, humans have fled to outer space, creating space colonies in the hope of reclaiming Earth once more. Players will take on the role of protagonist Eve as she is sent down to Earth alongside her allies to find a way to defeat the NA:tives once and for all in frenetic, real-time combat.
Stellar Blade is in development for PS5 and will release sometime in 2024. Stay tuned to RPGFan for all news RPG!
