Developed by G-Mode, the game is a remake of a murder mystery visual novel by Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii. It was originally released on the PC-6001 and the PC-88, followed by several ports. Along with writing the original game’s plot with Armor Soft, Horii is also penning a new scenario for the Hokkaido Rensa Satsujin Ohotsuku ni Kiyu remake.
Hokkaido Rensa Satsujin Ohotsuku ni Kiyu – Tsuioku no Ryuuhyou: Namida no Nipopo Ningyou is set to release in Japan on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam sometime this summer. While it hasn’t been announced for Western audiences yet, fellow Japanese-only Direct title Reynatiswas recently announced for an English release, so you never know!
