ATLUS and developer Studio Zero have released a new trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio detailing its job system, where each class is known as an Archetype. The trailer was introduced by Director Katsura Hashino and Character Designer Shigenori Soejima at today’s Summer Game Fest presentation. Feel free to check it out below!
The Archetype system allows the protagonist and his allies the ability to embody different aspects of power by transformation. Players will be able to choose between more than 40 different Archetypes to customise their playstyle, including the Seeker, Mage, Knight, Gunner, Pugilist, and Healer.
Metaphor: ReFantazio focuses on an unnamed blue-haired protagonist who seeks to ascend to the throne of the United Kingdom of Euchronia. Such need was heralded by the assassination of Euchronia’s previous king, activating both tremendous magic and the need for a Royal Tournament to decide its new ruler. As part of that tournament, players will travel across Euchronia, gaining allies across the land to aid in a bid to gain victory.
