Developer A44 Games (Ashen) and publisher Kepler Interactive (Cat Quest III) are coming together for what could be one of the biggest hits of the summer: Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn‘s four-word elevator pitch is “explosive indie Souls-lite”. Set in the world of Kian, disaster strikes as the Door to the Great Below has been opened and now the Gods and their armies of the Dead are loose. Players take control of Nor Vanek, an elite member of the Coalition army. Aided by her mysterious companion, Enki, Nor embarks on an epic journey to make amends and reseal the Gods to save humanity.

You know the drill by now: check out the Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn trailer from this weekend, overview details (via the game’s official website), and key screenshots below.

Considering all the games we wishlisted this weekend that were a little light on details, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn deserves a lot of credit for not being one of them. Here’s what you need to know before purchasing:

  • The digital Deluxe Edition comes with the full game and additional DLC cosmetic content for Nor.
  • The physical Deluxe Edition for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 will be available from select retailers via Maximum Entertainment. The set comes complete with the full game and an exclusive reversible coversheet. Digitally, you get a soundtrack and artbook, as well as in-game goodies like additional DLC cosmetic items for Nor (Champions, Noble, and Vanguard outfits) and the Champions Pistol and Champions Axe weapons.
  • Music lovers can already check out “Rammuha” from the OST.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will launch globally on July 18th for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store). Special note for Steam users: the base game and the deluxe edition are 10% off until July 25th.
