During the latest Nintendo Direct, Nippon Ichi Software and NIS America announced Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero, a sequel to its tactical predecessor. The game will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam sometime in 2025. Check out its announcement trailer below!
As seen above, players will take on the role of Marona, a young girl who can speak with Phantoms—spectres of the dead. With that ability, she must venture across the seas to thwart the sudden appearance of a legendary fleet of ghost pirate ships. Joined by two Phantoms, known as Ash and Apricot, Marona will attempt to bring allies together to stop this threat. In gameplay, players will control Marona and a party of Phantoms across gridless isometric battle maps. In those battles, they will be able to combine Phantoms with a myriad of objects as well as Marona herself to create havoc across the battlefield to achieve victory.
