Fairy Tail 2 Adapts End of Manga into Action RPG

The gang is all here in Fairy Tail 2.

Developer Gust is taking another stab at the popular manga and anime series, Fairy Tail. While the first game was a turn-based affair, Fairy Tail 2 brings Natsu, Lucy, and other Fairy Tail guild members to a real-time action RPG! The game continues the events from the previous game and adapts the Alvarez Empire Arc of the manga.

Check out the first look at Fairy Tail 2 from the recent Nintendo Direct:

The follow-up is a visual improvement over its predecessor, featuring 3D graphics in a fully explorable map. The various guild members fight with their weapons and a series of strong magic. Fans of the series not only get to see the final chapter of the series in an RPG, but also get the opportunity to experience “Character Stories” for their favorite characters. Along with these new stories, the “Key to Hidden Secrets” epilogue provides an exclusive continuation of the story after the manga’s original ending.

If you haven’t heard of Fairy Tail, here it is in a nutshell from Koei Tecmo’s press release:
