At Tokyo Game Show 2024, publisher Koei Tecmo Games and developer Gust have revealed Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian, a new title set in the same world as Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Liberator of Polar Night.

Unlike its predecessor, which was a free-to-play mobile game, this new Atelier Resleriana will be a single-player RPG with an original story that will be completely offline. It’s set to launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam in 2025.

Preview the teaser trailer below, which showcases a few environments.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian Teaser Trailer

Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Liberator of Polar Night will feature new protagonists. At first glance at the thumbnail, I mistakenly believed the girl on the left to be Resna, but my initial assumption was incorrect. The key art and teaser video shows a girl with cat ears and a male scholar. Who knows, maybe Gust is considering a male protagonist this time?

I’m more of a console gamer myself, so I’m glad to know that players like me have the option to experience the world of Atelier Resleriana differently.

There are huge things on the horizon for Atelier fans. Not one, but two games—Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land and Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian—are coming out in 2025.
