Announced during this year’s Tokyo Game Show, HYKE: Northern Light(s) is shaping up to be a visually impressive pixel-art action RPG. With the main heroine, Hyke, searching for her lost mother in a post-apocalyptic world, the story is looking to tug at the heartstrings. To drive that home, publishers Aniplex and Akatsuki Games have released a video of the game’s opening video and theme song, “Silhouette feat. Isekaijoucho.”
Take a listen to the opening below:
Isekaijoucho had this to say about the theme song:
My name is Isekaijoucho.
I am pleased to announce that I have sung the theme song for the game “HYKE:Northern Light(s)”! I believe that the nostalgic and decadent game experience of “HYKE:Northern Light(s)” will surely bring us irreplaceable feelings. I sang the theme song as if I was standing in the middle of the vast world, so that I could touch the mystery that lives in this world! I would be happy if you could sink deeply into the world of “HYKE:Northern Light(s)” with the theme song as well!
Further credits include lyrics by Shohei Yamanobe, music/arrangement by Yuuki Fukazawa, and vocals by Project HYKE.
