Earlier this year, Moon Studios’ No Rest for the Wicked released as an Early Access title on Steam (check out our preview!). While we await the game’s full PC & console launch, today we are highlighting a key aspect of the game just in time for Halloween. I am speaking, of course, about the game’s soundtrack.

On October 31st, Laced Records will be publishing the No Rest for the Wicked Original Early Access Soundtrack, composed by BAFTA-winning composer Jason Graves (Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology, Alpha Protocol, Moss).

Today, we are pleased to present an exclusive sneak preview of four tracks from the No Rest for the Wicked soundtrack for you to enjoy! We also have some comments from Graves about each track, offering some insight on their development.

Ellsworth, Governor of Sacrament

The lead track features an opening solo French horn call with large, heroic jumps. Ellsworth is honest, noble and fair so the slower pace of the music suggests his even temperament while a solo cello also expresses his patience and resolve.

Warrick The Torn

A full orchestra with menacing brass, a large choir and an expansive percussion section twist and turn during your first major battle. This is the first major boss you face in the game. There are two levels of combat, emphasized with a steady rise in tension and overall sense of building dread.

We Pray For Summer (Instrumental)

This song debuted with the announcement trailer for the game in 2023, featuring Malukah. I combined pastoral solo violin, choir and orchestra to underscore a positive progression reflecting how the town of Sacrament is slowly being rebuilt with your assistance.

The Cerim Return

This is the opening of the game, featuring the Pestilence Theme. We’re also announcing the arrival of the Cerim, our heroic main character, with strident strings and dark, building brass.

We would like to thank Jason Graves and Moon Studios for allowing us to present these tracks to you! Look forward to more coverage of No Rest for the Wicked as development continues, and look for the Early Access Soundtrack tomorrow! Download and streaming platforms include Apple, Amazon, Spotify, and more (link goes to a lnk.to page to pre-save / access from varying providers).
