Japan’s Takarazuka Revue, an all-female theater troupe established in 1913, will perform a musical adaptation of Castlevania in 2025.

As reported by Automaton Media, Akumajo Dracula – Gekka no Kakusei, which translates to Castlevania: Awakening Under the Moonlight, will have two runs next year. From June 7th to July 20th, the Takarazuka Revue will perform at its home base: the Takarazuka Grand Theater in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture. Then from August 16th to September 28th, the troupe moves to the Tokyo Takarazuka Theater in the Japanese capital. Each hour-and-a-half performance will be coupled with Ai, Love Revue, a one-hour set of song-and-dance numbers.

Tickets are not yet available as of the time of writing, but English-speaking fans can check periodically for announcements on the Takarazuka Revue website.

Takarazuka Revue is no stranger to video games, having adapted series such as Ace Attorney and, earlier this year, Final Fantasy XIV. Check out the troupe’s take on The Great Ace Attorney.
