The recent MIX Fall Showcase featured a new trailer (below) for The Time I Have Left, the debut project of Spanish outfit GROUND Game Atelier. Check it out to know what to expect from this “time-driven escape adventure RPG”.

A limited-time demo is available now for PC via Steam. You can play through most of the first chapter as part of a one-month campaign coinciding with a new Kickstarter campaign that, as of publishing time, still has 24 days to go.

GROUND Game Atelier hopes to raise €50,000 EUR (about $52,400 USD), and has so far reached €10,000 with 120+ backers. The studio shared that the funds will go towards completing The Time I Have Left. Stretch goals include more enemy variety and a new area called The Pit.

Here’s a synopsis of the game via Kickstarter.

The Time I Have Left Overview

The Time I Have Left is a time-driven escape adventure RPG with a big focus on storytelling. As fans of JRPGs—both old and new— we wanted to give a spin to the classic formula while still keeping a nostalgic flair.

The Time I Have Left combines the exploration and narrative strengths of adventure games, and the depth of turn-based combat RPGs into a unique yet familiar take on both genres.

The player takes the role of Aline, a woman affected by a mysterious condition called “The Miasma” that will claim her life in six hours. Guide her through the depths of the mysterious Colony 7 in search of a way out, and help her make the most of her time.

We first heard about The Time I Have Left back in March 2022. At the time, it was slated for a 2023 release.

Kyle is just embarking on his main quest at RPGFan and couldn't be more excited to join the team. He discovered the RPGFan community a couple of years ago and, after growing up in Western Canada as a "jock," was thrilled to realize that there were others in the world who learned roman numerals as a teenager thanks to the Final Fantasy series. Contributing to the news team is his main objective at the site and it is his goal to project the confidence of Ron Burgundy while keeping everyone from realizing he might just be Brick Tamland.
