Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga Returns to Modern Platforms in 2025

Nihon Falcom just keeps on giving. With Western publisher refint/games, the developer is rereleasing the crossover fighting game Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga in 2025.

It will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via GOG, the Epic Games Store, and Steam. This new version will feature 60 FPS, upgraded HD visuals, English voice acting, and new couch and online multiplayer support.

Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga‘s gameplay is comparable to games such as Dissidia Final Fantasy and Super Smash Bros. It was originally launched in 2010 exclusively in Japan for the PSP, which tells me it’s taken 15 years for the game to be localized. Who would have thought?
