During its latest State of Play, Sony has revealed several new additions coming to the PlayStation Plus catalog.
According to Gematsu, players subscribed to the Premium tier will be able to experience the PlayStation versions of Myst and Riven: The Sequel to Myst on June 5th, released in 1996 and 1997 respectively. Additionally, the 2002 PlayStation 2 version of the RPG classic Deus Ex will also be released on June 17th.
Myst Overview

Originally released in 1993 for Mac, Myst transports an unnamed protagonist to the eponymous island via a magical book. In Myst, players undertake challenging puzzles as they explore the island, unravelling both its mysteries of mechanics and the denizens who once lived upon it. It was the best-selling PC game for almost half a decade beyond its initial release, and most recently (in 2021) got the full remake treatment.
Riven: The Sequel to Myst Overview

Originally released in 1997 for PC and Mac, Riven continues the narrative of Myst, where an unnamed protagonist must venture forth to an eponymous chain of islands. Players will undertake continuous puzzles of greater complexity, slowly uncovering a greater mystery encompassing both Riven and Myst in its scope. Developer Cyan launched a complete Riven remake in 2024, which our own Hilary Andreff called “worthwhile and definitely the most beautiful way to experience [the game].”
Deus Ex Overview
Originally released in 2000 for PC, Deus Ex puts players in the role of cybernetically enhanced JD Denton in a globetrotting cyberpunk adventure. It spans a narrative involving geopolitics, transhumanism, and social collapse, serving as a flagship example of choice-based narrative and gameplay in 3D gaming, with multiple sequels following its release.
Beyond the RPGs, Sony also revealed several other titles joining the classic catalog:
- Twisted Metal 3 (PlayStation) (July 15th)
- Twisted Metal 4 (PlayStation) (July 15th)
- Resident Evil 2 (PlayStation) (Summer 2025)
- Resident Evil 3 (PlayStation) (Summer 2025)
It seems anyone who wants to gain a grounding in classic gaming can access PS Plus Premium to do so. A trio of tremendously impactful games? Players could do much worse!
