Digimon Story: Time Stranger to Release October 3rd

Digimon Story: Time Stranger is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on October 3rd.

Preorders are now available for the PS5 version and the collector’s edition (exclusive to the Bandai Namco online store); Xbox and Steam players will need to wait until a later date. Check out the trailer that was part of Sony’s latest State of Play presentation below.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger is being developed by Media.Vision and will be published by Bandai Namco. This turn-based monster collector action RPG was revealed at the State of Play in February. It’s a follow-up to Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory. Here’s a quick overview of this latest entry in the series.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger Overview

DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER is designed to be the perfect entry point to the series for RPG enthusiasts. The game’s multiple settings in both the human and digital worlds sets the stage for exploring the deep bond between humans and creatures called Digimon, who reside in the Digital World: Iliad. Through working together with Digimon in battle, evolving abilities and forging bonds, players will begin unravelling the game’s mystery and save both worlds. To do so, they journey between the two worlds, even across time and venture deep into the intricate Digital World revealing never-before-seen elements of the world of Digimon.

Players who pre-order DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER will receive bonuses such as the Uniform of Certain School costumes, Adventure Item set and Agumon (Black) and Gabumon (Black). The full list of pre-order editions of DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER include:

• Standard Edition: Base Game, Uniform of Certain School costumes, Adventure Item set, Agumon (Black) and Gabumon (Black)
• Digital Deluxe Edition: All Standard edition content plus Cyber Sleuth Set Costumes, Season Pass
• Digital Ultimate Edition: All Digital Deluxe edition content plus Costume Pack (3 costumes per character, 3 additional side missions), Early unlocks of special Agumon and Gabumon, with their Digivolution conditions to specific Digimon already unlocked, Public Safety Suit Costumes and Special Supplies Set, Cyber Sleuth BGM Pack
• Collector’s Edition: All Ultimate Edition content plus a physical artbook, Digimon Card Game set, and an intricate Jupitermon: Wrath Mode statuette.

The Season Pass includes three DLC packs that will be released at a later time, with each pack including five additional Digimon and an additional episode. The Season Pass also includes the Golden Moai farm item which can be used to decorate the Digifarm.
