Neowiz and developers Round8 and Team Nough have released Lies of P: Overture, a prequel DLC expansion to their 2023 action RPG. The announcement came as a shadowdrop via Summer Game Fest, at the end of a new trailer. Check it out below!
Lies of P: Overture – Launch Trailer
Lies of P: Overture will focus on the imminent fall of Krat, the original setting of the base game. The protagonist, P, is transported via a magical artifact to a livelier time for the snow-covered city and led to uncover its greatest mysteries, through exploration and vicious real-time combat.
A new patch has also been implemented to coincide with the release of Overture. It adds a boss rematch system, which includes two modes allowing players to face previous bosses bested in Lies of P, as detailed below:
- The Boss Rematch system features two modes where you can challenge bosses you’ve previously defeated:
- Battle Memories: Fight bosses that you’ve previously defeated.
- Death March: Fight through a series of 3 or more bosses consecutively with limited HP and items.
- To unlock the Boss Rematch system, you must first complete the main story and reach one of the endings. Both modes can then be accessed through the Hotel Stargazer.
The patch also adds two new difficulty settings, a colour-blind mode, and a host of quality-of-life and balance improvements. For those interested, an extensive list of those improvements can be found on the Steam page. For more information on what to expect from Overture, please check out the official synopsis below:
