RGG Studio’s Project Century is Now Stranger Than Heaven in Summer Game Fest Teaser

A man walks through bright lights of the city in Stranger Than Heaven.

SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Project Century has been renamed Stranger Than Heaven. The title was officially unveiled at this year’s Summer Game Fest, at the end of a stylish new teaser trailer.

We learned the game is at least partially set in Japan in 1943, right in the thick of World War II. The teaser below shows off gritty, neon-lit environments and a taste of its brutal combat.

The teaser seems to imply protagonist Daito (sp.) is mixed-race, and there’s some internal conflict surrounding that. Very intriguing stuff. So far, this game seems to be taking a far more serious tone than RGG Studio’s signature Like a Dragon series.
